Here are a few more reason to eat organic Greek Yogurt. Not only does it offer a wide range of nutrients, its a versatile food.

Protein:

One cup of plain, low-fat yogurt usually contains 5 to 10 grams of protein, where Greek yogurt averages about 13 to 20 grams of protein. The extra protein will help you feel full and leave you feeling satisfied.

Sodium:

According to the USDA, Greek yogurt has less sodium by up to 50 percent. And, it still has a full-bodied taste without the high sodium content.

Lower in Carbs:

Regular yogurts have 15 to 17 grams of carbohydrates per cup, where Greek yogurt averages around 9 grams.

Versatility:

Use fat free organic greek yogurt in place of sour cream, mayo, and milk in recipes. For example, instead of putting sour cream on your burrito use organic greek yogurt. Or, sub it for sour cream and cream cheese in a dip. Still want more? Cook whole wheat pasta according to directions, remove from heat, and stir in organic fat free greek yogurt, fresh tomatoes, and oregano for a healthy alfredo.
