Naked Nutrition Wants to Help You Get the Most Out of Important Pre-Wedding Events Like the 2010 Mercer County Bridal Show Case
If you are attending a bridal showcase like the 2010 Mercer County Bridal showcase going on at Rider University in Lawerenceville, NJ, this weekend, I’ve got some good news for you: you are getting married! Your man finally popped the question and now you are in the planning process. Bridal showcases like this one hosted by the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce are a great way to meet a lot of the people you’ll be dealing with while preparing for your big day.
Well we have a little advice for you here at Naked Nutrition: remember that this experience that you’ve dreamed of for so many years is about YOU. It seems obvious, right? But this is a time where everyone wants to chime in about very important decisions: parents, future in-laws, vendors, sisters and brothers, you name it! Because everyone is going to have ideas about what you should be doing, it can be hard to tune out all of the noise and make sure that you are getting what you want and what is ultimately right for you and the man to whom you are about to say, “I do.” Once you are up on that alter, it’s just you, him, and whoever is asking you to say those magic words.
It’s not that any of the people in your life don’t love you or want the right thing for you. The problem is when moms and dads, and in-laws, and vendors who want your money start trying to tell you what is right. So before you step foot into a bridal showcase like the 2010 Mercer County Bridal and Events show, take a little time out to visualize what you want to get out of it. Although there are a lot of external factors pushing you in several different directions, there’s no better time than now to remember to focus on you. Here’s an exercise: find a quiet place and do some relaxed breathing for about ten minutes. As you do, think back over the years to all of the weddings you have been to and about all of the visions you had for when the big wedding day was actually YOURS. What was the food like? Was it a buffet or sit down? Was there a band or a D.J.? Was it big or small? What were you wearing and how did you look? Try to visualize all of these things before you even set foot in the door or ask for anyone else’s advice (even someone you trust like your mom or dad). Be mindful of how you are feeling when you make these decisions and don’t ignore your feelings or intuition. Also, make sure you’ve had a healthy meal and maybe a little exercise. I promise, when it comes time to make some of these all-important decisions, you’ll be in a better frame of mind to do what’s right by the most important person involved: yourself.
If you are going to be at the 2010 Mercer County Bridal Showcase in Lawerenceville, NJ, we’ll see you there. Naked Nutrition has a booth and would love to be a part of your journey. And, we promise to honor YOU.
