In America…

- Every month 9 out of 10 children visit a McDonald’s (and they aren’t getting sliced apples).
- 1 out 3 children is considered overweight or obese
- On any average school day more than 30 million kids eat a school lunch, and 10 million kids eat a school breakfast. Most of which is processed, high in fat, sodium, sugary contents.

School lunch is fast food! It’s salty, sweet and fatty, the meat is breaded and crunchy, it’s been highly processed—even the fruit and vegetables aren’t fresh for the most part. And, potatoes are considered a ‘vegetable’, which means French Fries count as a veggie serving!! What?!

These produce items should which should always be eaten organically:

1) Strawberries: These are one of the most chemically intensive crops and have the highest level of pesticides than any another fruit or vegetable.

2) Peppers: More than 50 chemicals are approved for use on these little veggies!
